I’m Adithya Rajagopalan Nair, a Mumbai-based cinematographer with over a decade of experience working across films, commercials, and independent visual projects.
I was born and raised in Kerala, where my fascination with cinema and visual storytelling first began. After completing my education in Pune, I moved to Mumbai to pursue cinematography and have since made the city my creative home.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of environments and formats, each project shaping my understanding of light, composition, and movement. For me, cinematography is about translating emotion into images — finding the right visual language that allows a story to unfold naturally on screen.
My approach to filmmaking is intuitive and collaborative. I enjoy working closely with directors and creative teams to build a visual world that supports the narrative while maintaining a strong cinematic identity. Whether working on narrative films or commercial projects, I aim to create images that feel honest, atmospheric, and meaningful.
Today, I continue to explore new visual ideas while refining my craft, drawing inspiration from both the places I come from and the stories I help bring to life.
